(5x - 4)/3 = 2(x + 2)

I solved it on my own and got (-16) but, when I checked it with some online calculator it gave me (-28) so, what is the correct answer?. Also please show me your steps on how you arrived at your answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

(5x-4)/3 = 2(x+2)

Now,

(5x-4)= 2×3 (x+2)

5x-4 = 6(x+2)

5x-4= 6x +12

-4-12 =6x-5x

x= -16

well, my answer is -16 !

Not sure but you can check the procedure..
