Here is your answer

5x+4y= 47--------(I)
4x+5y=43-----–-(ii)

adding eq I and ii, we get
9x+9y=90
9(x+y)=90
x+y= 90/9=10
x+y=10 --------(iii)

subtracting eq ii from eq I
x-y= 4. --------(iv)

adding eq iii and iv
2x=14
x=7

putting x= 7 in eq iii
7+y= 10
y=10-7
y=3

so, x=7 and y=3

hope it is useful

⏩ 5x + 4y = 47 -----------(i)
⏩4x + 5y = 43 ---------(ii)

USING SUBSTITUTION METHOD :

From Equation (i)
5x + 4y = 47
5x = 47 - 4y
x = 47-4y/5----------(iii)

PUTTING the value of 'x' in equation (ii)
4x + 5y = 43
4(47 - 4y/5) + 5y = 43
188 - 16y + 25y = 215
9y = 215 - 188
9y = 27
y = 3

PUTTING the value of 'y' in equation (iii)
x = 47 - 4y / 5
x = 47 - 4(3)/5
x = 47 - 12/5
x = 35/5
x = 7

SO ,The value of x is 7 & y is 3 ✔✔
