Step-by-step explanation:

 \frac{5x + 5}{4}  +  \frac{x + 1}{1}  =  \frac{5x + 5 + 4x + 4}{4 }  \\  =  \frac{9x + 9}{4} \\  \\  =  \frac{9}{4} (x + 1)

To find : value of RHS

Given : \frac{5x+5}{4} + \frac{x+1}{1}  = ?

Solution :

  • To find the value of RHS we first solve LHS by adding both the terms .
  • To add terms we first equalize denominators by taking the LCM .
  • LCM = 4
  • Now, multiplying numerators of both rational numbers by same number as multiplied by denominators to make LCM.
  • \frac{5x+5}{4} + \frac{x+1}{1}  = ?

       =\frac{5x+5}{4}+ \frac{4x + 4 }{4}  \\=  \frac{5x + 5 +4x +4 }{4} \\= \frac{9x + 9 }{4}  \\= \frac{9(x+ 1)}{4}

Hence, value of RHS will be \frac{9(x+ 1 )}{4} .

Note : since the value of RHS was not given we could not find the value of x instead we find value for RHS .
