Step-by-step explanation:

5x-5y+8=0 __(1)

7x+6y-9=0 __(2)

(1)×6 + (2)×5 =>

30x-30y+48+35x+30y-45=0

65x+3=0

x=3/65

(1)=>. 3/13 - 5y + 8 =0

5y=108/13

y=108/65

Step-by-step explanation:

the first equation can be written as

5x - 5y = -8 __________ (i)

also

7x + 6y = 9 ____________ (ii)

now consider these two equations

from 1st equation we have,

5x = -8 + 5y

x = (-8 + 5y)/5 ________(iii)

now put the value of x in eq ii, we get

7((-8 + 5y)/5) + 6y = 9

or

(-56 + 35y)/5 +6y = 9 (multiply 7 inside)

or

(-56 + 35y + 30y)/5 = 9 (LCM)

or

-56 + 35y + 30y = 45

or

65y = 45+56

or

y = 101/65

put y in eq iii , we get

x = (-8 + 5(101/65))/5

or

x = (-8 + 101/13)/5

or

x = (-104 +101)/(13×5)

or

x = -3/65
