Step-by-step explanation:

5x - 6 = 3x + 10

now now I am transposing the X terms in RHS and the other constants on LHS

we get

5x-3x = 10 + 6(I transposed 3x from RHS to LHS and it sign changes from + to -)

(and I transposed -6 from LHS to RHS and it becomes plus 6 )

2x =16(because on subtracting 5x and 3X we get to 2X)

(& on adding 10 and 6 we get 16)

X=16/2(I transposed 2 from LHS to RHS and it changes into divide)

X=8(on dividing 16 by 2 we get 8)

X=8
