In context to question asked,

We have to determine the value of "x".

As per question,

We have,

\frac{5x-7}{3x} = 2

So, for determining the value of "x" we will cross multiply the terms.

Hence, we will get,

\frac{5x-7}{3x} = 2\\=>5x-7 = 3x\times 2\\=>5x-7 = 6x\\=>6x-5x = -7\\=>-x = -7\\=>x = 7

Hence, value of "x" will be 7.

Given: The equation is5x-7/3x =2

We have to solve the above equation.

  • By using the concept of equation shifting, we are solving the above
  • equation.
  • For this, we will separate the variables on one side and the constant on
  • another side.
  • Then, we will simplify the equation.

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

5x-7/3x =2

\frac{5x-7}{3x} =2\\\\\Rightarrow 5x-7=2\times3x\\\Rightarrow 5x-7=6x\\\Rightarrow5x-6x=7\\\Rightarrow -x=7\\\Rightarrow x=-7

Hence, the solution of the above equation is-7.

Now verifying the solution:

=\frac{5x-7}{3x} \\\\=\frac{5\times-7-7}{3\times-7} \\\\=\frac{-35-7}{-21} \\\\=\frac{-42}{-21} \\\\=2

Hence, our solution is correct.
