 \mathbf{Question : \frac{5x - 7}{x + 1} = 2}

By Cross Multiplication,

=> 5x - 7 = 2( x + 1 )

=> 5x - 7 = 2x + 2

=> 5x - 2x = 2 + 7

=> 3x = 9

 \\  \\ x =  \frac{9}{3}   \\  \\  \\ \mathbf{x = 3}

Hola!!

HERE IS THE ANSWER

 \frac{5x - 7}{x + 1}  = 2 \\
On cross multiplying both sides we get.

5x  - 7 = 2(x + 1) \\ 5x - 7 = 2x + 2 \\ 5x - 2x = 2 + 7 \\ 3x = 9 \\ x =  \frac{9}{3}  \\ x = 3
Hope it helps to you.
