hey... here's ur solution !!
5x + 8 ( 2x - 9 ) = 54..................(1)
5x + 16x - 72 = 54
21 x = 126
hence we get,
x = 6
now,
put value of x. in equation ( 1 )
5( 6) + 8 (2( 6) -9 )) = 54
30 + 8 ( 12 - 9 ) = 54
30 + 8( 3 ) = 54
30 + 24. = 54
54 = 54.
hence,
LSH = RHS
