5x - 9 = 1 / y ---eq-(1)

x + 1 / y = 3

1 / y = 3 - x ------eq.(2), we get

5x - 9 = 3 - x

5x + x = 3 + 9

6x = 12

x = 2

now put value of "x" in eq .(2) ,we get

1 / y = 3 - 2

1/ y = 1


y = 1

hence the value of x =2 " and y = 1
