5x−9=y1

⇒  5xy−9y=1             ----- ( 1 )

x+y1=3

⇒  xy+1=3y

⇒  xy−3y=−1

Multiplying both sides by 3, we get

⇒  3xy−9y=−3            ----- ( 2 )

Subtracting eqation ( 2 ) by ( 1 ) we get,

2xy=4

∴ xy=2

Substituing xy=2 in equation ( 1 ) we get,

⇒  5(2)−9y=1

⇒  10−9y=1

⇒  9y=9

∴  y=1

Now, substituting value of y in ( 1 ) we get,

⇒  5x(1)−9(1)=1

⇒  5x−9=1

∴  5x=10

∴  x=2

⇒  (x,y)=(2,1)
