multiply eq (i) by 2

equation will be

by elimination method

by subtraction

10x-2y=4

3x-2y=1

by putting value of x in eq (ii)

3(3/13)-2y=1

9/13-2y=1

2y=9/13 -1

2y=-4/13

y=-2/13
