Answer:

Ans 1 :- The motion of the Earth round the sun is periodic because it always completes one revolution in one year. The motion of the earth rotating on its axis once in 24 hours is a kind of periodic motion because the time duration of 24 hours is fixed.

Explanation:

Ans 2 :- Food adulteration is the act of intentionally debasing the quality of food offered for sale either by the admixture or substitution of inferior substances or by the removal of some valuable ingredient.

Ans 3 :- The fibrous root system occupies less surface area than taproot. Taproot grows vertically downwards and thus reaches deep into the soil. The fibrous root grows horizontally in all directions and thus doesn't reach deep into the soil. The Taproot system anchors the plant more firmly than the fibrous root.

Ans 4 :- Adaptations of Penguins

1) Its white colour helps it blend in with the white background.

2) Thick skin and a lot of fat protect it from cold.

3) They huddle together in groups to keep themselves warm.

4) They have webbed feet and they streamline their body while swimming which makes them good swimmers.

Adaptations of polar bear

1) a white appearance - as camouflage from prey on the snow and ice.

2) thick layers of fat and fur - for insulation against the cold.

3) a small surface area to volume ratio - to minimise heat loss.

4) a greasy coat that sheds water after swimming - to help reduce heat loss.

Ans 5 :- Microorganisms are divided into seven types: bacteria, archaea, protozoa, algae, fungi, viruses, and multicellular animal parasites ( helminths ). Each type has a characteristic cellular composition, morphology, mean of locomotion, and reproduction.
