5x²+3x-2=0

Using splitting the middle term method we get

5x²+5x-2x-2=0

5x(x+1)-2(x+1)=0

(5x-2)(x+1)=0

(5x-2)=0 5x=2 x=2/5

(x+1)=0 x=-1

hence the zeroes of the quadratic polynomial are 2/5 and -1
