5x^2 = 4x + 7\\5x^2 - 4x = 7

Dividing each term with 5 , we get

x^2 - ( \frac{4}{5}  ) x = \frac{7}{5} \\\\x^2 - 2 * x * ( \frac{2}{5}  ) = \frac{7}{5}

x^2-2(x)(\frac{2}{5} )+(\frac{2}{5} )^2 = \frac{7}{5} +(\frac{2}{5} )^2\\\\( x - \frac{2}{5}  )^2 = \frac{7}{5}  + \frac{4}{25}

( x - \frac{2}{5}  )^2 = \frac{35+4}{25} \\\\( x - \frac{2}{5} )^2 = \frac{39}{25}

( x - 2/5 )² = ± √( 39 / 25 )

x = 2/5 ± √39 / 5

x = ( 2 ± √39 ) / 5

x = \frac{( 2 + \sqrt{39} ) }{5} \\\\and\\\\x = \frac{( 2 - \sqrt{39} ) }{5}
