5y-2=3(y+2)

=>5y-2=3y+6

=>5y-3y=6+2

=>2y=8

=>y=4

5y - 2 = 3 ( y + 2 )

5y - 2 = 3y + 6

5y - 3y = 6 + 2

2y = 8

y = 8 ÷ 2

y = 4 Ans.
