Step (1) Multiply both side by 3 ( to get rid of fraction term)


$\frac{5y - 4}{3} \times 3 = (y + 2) \times 3$




$5y - 4 = 3y + 6$


Step 2)

Subtract 3y from both side


$5y - 3y - 4 = 3y - 3y + 6$



$2y - 4 = 6$

Step 3)

Add 4 both side we get


$2y - 4 + 4= 6 + 4$

$= 2y = 6 + 4$


$2y = 10$

DIVIDE By 2 both side
