=> 6 ( 1 - 4y ) = 53 - 7 ( 2 + 5y )

Simplifying the equation we get,

=> 6 - 24y = 53 - 14 - 35y

Transposing 35y to LHS and 6 to LHS, we get,

=> 35y - 24y = 53 - 14 - 6

=> 11y = 53 - 20

=> 11y = 33

=> y = 33 / 11 = 3

Hence the value of y is 3.
