Answer: 1.45

First step : We make the denominators the same by using the LCM method

LCM of 12, 8 and 14 = 168

Second step : Inorder to make the denominators same(168) we need to multiply 12 by 14 and 8 by 21 and 14 by 12

Third step : When we multiply the denominators, it is important to mutliply the numerator with that number too, so

14 x 6/12 = 84/168

21 x 3/8 = 63/168

12 x 7/14 = 98/168

Since we have all the denominators as same all we have to do is add all the numerators and keep the denominator untouched

84 + 63 + 98 = 245

245/168 = 1.45

Hope this was clear and helpful

  • As per the data given in the question, we have to find the value of the  expression.

     Given data:-\frac{6}{12} +\frac{3}{8}+\frac{7}{14}.

To find:- the addition of fraction.

     Solution:-

  • We will take the LCM of the denominators, and make denominators the same.
  • We will Convert the given fractions to equivalent fractions with the denominator as the LCM.
  • Adding the numerators over the denominators.

        Therefore we get,

        \Rightarrow \frac{6}{12}+\frac{3}{8}+\frac{7}{14}\\\Rightarrow \frac{6\times14+3\times21+7\times12}{168}\\\Rightarrow \frac{84+63+84}{168}\\\Rightarrow \frac{231}{168}.

Hence, the value will be \frac{231}{168}.
