Given: 6.3-( -  )=2.1

We have to find the value in the dash place of the equation. i.e 6.3-( - )=2.1

For this, we assume the value will be xin the dash place, and then we will simplify the equation.

We are solving in the following way:

We have

6.3-( -  )=2.1

Now,

=> 6.3-( -  )=2.1

Let assume the value will bex.

=>6.3-x=2.1

=>-x=2.1-6.3\\=>-x=-4.2\\=>x=4.2

We getx=4.2

Hence, the value will be4.2. when we subtract this value from6.3 we get2.1.

To find : missing number .

Given : 6.3 - ? = 2.1

Solution :

  • Let , the missing number be x .
  • Then , we have ,6.3 -x = 2.1 .
  • Taking variable to RHS and constants at LHS we find value of x.

                                   6.3 - 2.1 = x

                                               x = 4.2

Hence , missing number is 4.2
