Two numbers are coprime if their highest common factor (or greatest common divisor) is 1. You can have the set of positive integers which are coprime to a given number: for example those coprime to 12 are 1,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,25, and so on.

Factors of 18 are 1, 2, 3, 6, 9 and 18. Factors of 35 are 1, 5, 7 and 35. Therefore, 1 is the only common factor of 18 and 35. It means that 18 and 35 are co-prime.
