5. Which are the languages of your neighbouring states?

I am from West Bengal and my neighbouring states are Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, Sikkim, and Assam and their languages are as follows:-

• The language of Jharkhand is Hindi, Nagpuri, Khortha, Kurmali, Magahi and Bhojpuri.
• The language of Bihar is Hindi, Urdu and Bhojpuri.
• The language of Odisha is Oriya. Oriya is an Eastern Indo-Aryan language that relates to the Indo-Aryan language family.
• The language of Sikkim is Nepali and Bhutia.
• The language of Assam is Assamese. Different to what was thought earlier, the state of Assam and its set of languages appeared more pluralistic after finding out 55 languages (dialects included) spoken by people residing in various portions of the state.
