1. The entire passage is based on the art of flattery. The writer describes in details the art of flattery and the nature of the flatterers and how people love to be flattered.

2. The writer emphasises upon the fact that flatterers are mostly born with the art of flattery. They know very well whom to flatter, about what and when to flatter.

They can be compared to the bees. The bees buzz and swarm round only those flowers that are full of juice and nectar. Similarly, flatterers too flock around influential people, people of power, position and wealth.

Flatterers can also be compared to psychologists. Like them flatterers very well know the psyche of the people who love to be flattered.

3. Flatterers have the quality of being excellent liars. They can  polish a lie with the thick polish of falsehood so  perfectly that it shines as much as perfect truth.
