Given

  • \dfrac{6}{7}  \dfrac{1}{14}   \dfrac{2}{7}

To find

  • We have to arrange the following Fractions into Ascending order and Descending order.

Solution

We have to find the LCM of the following Fractions Denominators to make them Equal after taking out the LCM we have to multiply the Fractions by the number which in result gives the LCM in the Denominator after solving the whole we will surely get the numbers as equal and then we can arrange them in Ascending and Descending order both.

Let's solve

Step 1

We, have to find the LCM of the following Fractions Denominators which is 7 , 14 and 7  LCM is \leadsto 14

\Large{ \begin{array}{c|c} \tt 7 & \sf{ 7 , 14 , 7} \\ \cline{1-2} \tt 2 & \sf { 1 , 2 , 1} \\ \cline{1-2} &  \sf{ 1 , 1 , 1} \end{array}}

Step 2

After finding the LCM 14 we have to multiply the Fractions by the number which in the result should bring 14 as the Denominator

         \dfrac{6}{7} \times \dfrac{2}{2} :\implies \dfrac{12}{14} is the Biggest

        \dfrac{1}{14} \times \dfrac{1}{1} :\implies \dfrac{1}{14}   is the Smallest

         \dfrac{2}{7} \times \dfrac{2}{2} :\implies \dfrac{4}{14} is the Middle one

Now, we got the equal Fraction so we can now arrange these fraction into Ascending Order or in Descending Order

In Ascending are \dfrac{1}{14}   \dfrac{4}{14}   \dfrac{12}{14}  or  \dfrac{1}{14}   \dfrac{2}{7}   \dfrac{6}{7}

In Descending are  \dfrac{12}{14}   \dfrac{4}{14}  \dfrac{1}{14} or \dfrac{6}{7}   \dfrac{2}{7}  \dfrac{1}{14}

•°• Hence, verified!
