Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

since a, 3x+2, b are in AP

( 3x + 2 ) - a = 2x - 1 = b - ( 3x + 2 )

3x + 2 - a = 2x - 1 and 2x - 1 = b - 3x - 2

3x - 2x - a + 2 + 1 = 0 and 2x + 3x - 1 + 2 - b = 0

x - a + 3 = 0  and 5x + 1 -b = 0

x + 3 = a and 5x + 1 = b

also,  t_n = t_1 + (n-1)d

         b = a + ( 3 - 1 )d

 5x + 1 = x + 3 + 2d

 5x + 1 = x + 3 + 2d

 5x - x = 3 - 1

      4x = 2

        x = 1/2
