Given :-

• A car marked at 50,000

• The dealer gives 5% on first 20,000

• He gain 2% discount on the remaining 30,000

Solution :-

1) Here,

Marked Price of a car = Rs50000

Discount on Rs20,000 = 5%

Therefore,

Discount = 20000 * 5/100

Discount = Rs1000

Now,

Discount at the rate of 2% on remaining Rs30,000

Therefore,

Discount = 30000 * 2 / 100

Discount = Rs600

Thus,

Total Discount = 1000 + 600

Total Discount = Rs1600

2) Here,

We have to calculate the price charged by the dealer

Total Marked Price = 20,000 + 30,000

Total Marked Price = Rs50,000

Now,

Total Discount = 1000 + 600

Total Discount = Rs 1600

Therefore,

The Price charged by the dealer

= Marked Price - Discount

= 50000 - 1600

= Rs. 48400

Hence, The price charged by the dealer is Rs.48400 .

Answer:

Given :-

• A car marked at 50,000

• The dealer gives 5% on first 20,000

• He gain 2% discount on the remaining 30,000

Solution :-

1) Here,

Marked Price of a car = Rs50000

Discount on Rs20,000 = 5%

Therefore,

Discount = 20000 * 5/100

Discount = Rs1000

Now,

Discount at the rate of 2% on remaining Rs30,000

Therefore,

Discount = 30000 * 2 / 100

Discount = Rs600

Thus,

Total Discount = 1000 + 600

Total Discount = Rs1600

2) Here,

We have to calculate the price charged by the dealer

Total Marked Price = 20,000 + 30,000

Total Marked Price = Rs50,000

Now,

Total Discount = 1000 + 600

Total Discount = Rs 1600

Therefore,

The Price charged by the dealer

= Marked Price - Discount

= 50000 - 1600

= Rs. 48400

Hence, The price charged by the dealer is Rs.48400 ..
