Distance covered by the car (S) = 30km +30km

(S) = 60km

intial velocity of the car (u) = 60km/h

final velocity of the car (v) = 40km/h

(ii). The average speed

= total velocity/Total distance covered

= (u + v) / s

= 60+40/ 60

= 100/60

= 5/3 kmh^-1
