Answer:

let the present age of son is x years

so present age of father is 4x years

after 5 years son will be( x+5 )years and father will be (4x+5 )years

here,

4x+5=3(x+5)

=> 4x+5=3x+15

=> 4x-3x=15-5

=> x=10

so, present age of son is 10 years and present age of father is 4×10years=40years
