6. A monkey climbs 90 cm up a slippery pole every
second and slips down 60 cm over the next second.
How many seconds will the monkey take to reach a
banana tied 450 cm up the slippery pole?
(Hint: Once the monkey reaches the banana, it will
not mind eating it even as it slips down!)

Answer: 25 sec

Step-by-step explanation:  THIS IS A NICE QUESTION

the net displacement of monkey every two second is 30m

But  when the monkey reaches the top he donnot slip back so for the last 90m the monkey doesnot care sliping down as he got his banana thats what given in hint

so first subtract 90m from the total 450m = 360m and divide it by 30m so that we could know how many times he makes a step ( climbing 90 and slipping 60) which is = 12

so the time required for 12 such step is 12 x 2 sec= 24 sec

in order to find total time add last one sec ( required to climb last 90m ) to 24

                            :- 24+ 1 = 25

hope this help
