perimeter of rectangle = 2 (L+B)

150. = 2 (L +30)

150. = L+ 30

2

75. = L+30

75-30. = L

45. = L

THEREFORE , Length is 45 m.

Question :

A rectangular garden has a perimeter of 150 m. If the length of the Garden is 45 metres. Find length and area.

Solution :

Given -

Length = 45 m.

as we know,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b)

150 = 2(45 + b)

75 - 45 = b

30 = b

So, we got the breadth of the rectangle i.e 30 m.

now, its area :

L × B

= 30 × 45

= 1350 m²
