Answer

Therefore area is not carpeted is 10 meter square

Explanation

It is given that,

A room is 25m long and 10m wide.

Room is like a rectangular,

Area of room Length x width = 25 x 10 = 250meter square

A triangular carpet  with base 8m and height12m.

Area of carpet = 1/2 x base x height = 1/2 x 8 x 12 =24 meter square

Area of room , 250 = 10 x 24 + 10

Area of room , 250 = 10 x area of carpet + 10

Therefore area is not carpeted = 10 meter square
