Answer:

simple divide the total amount of rice by the total number of students....

6kg = 6000gm

Answer:

I’ve always been taught to make each person I’m cooking for (regardless of age) one cup of uncooked rice then add one cup for every 5 people.

A cup of uncooked rice weighs about 185 grams so I would say 10–13kgs of uncooked rice at least but it depends on what you are serving it with. If the rice is going to be a large part of the meal then I would suggest making more for safety. As you also have children attending depending on their age they will probably eat less or more than the adults so I would just count them as people unless they are quite young.

The largest number of people I’ve ever cooked rice for is 10, I cooked 2kgs of uncooked rice and that was enough with some left over to freeze so if I use that measurement around 12kgs should be enough.

Personally I always make more than I think I need as I can use it as leftovers or freeze it for a later date.
