6. A square sheet of side 7 cm is taken out from a circle of radius 7cm. Find the area of
remaining part of the circle.​

Answer:

Area of square sheet = (28)2=784cm2

The largest circle of diameter equals to the side of square can be cut off from the square sheet.

∴ Radius of circular sheet = 228=14cm

Area of remaining sheet = 784−πr2=784−722×14×14

                                         

                                         = 784−616 = 168cm2
