The height of the man is 1.38 meters.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

62 m  in height of the tower.

60 degree is the angle of elevation of the top of the tower.

The distance of the man from the base of the tower is 35 m.

To Find:

The height of the man.

Formula Used:

 tan\theta=perpendicular/ base

 tan 60\textdegree =\sqrt{3}

Solution:

Let the height of the man is P.

Let the distance of the man from the base of the tower is Q.

As given -  62 m  is the height of the tower.

The height from man height to top of the  tower R =62-P.

As given- the distance of the man from the base of the tower is 35 m.

 Q= 35 m

 As given – The angle of elevation of the top of the tower is 60°.

Then,

tan60\textdegree =\frac{R}{Q}

\sqrt{3}  = \frac{62-P}{35}

35\sqrt{3}  =62-P

 P= 62 -35\sqrt{3}

 P=62- 60.62

  P=1.38 \ meters

Thus, the height of the  man  is  1.38 meters.
