Question

6. A worker earns rs.18000 in 15 months.

(a) How much will the worker earn in 7 months?

(b) In how many months will he earn rs.3600?

ANSWER :

The income of worker in 15 months = Rs.18000

The income of worker in 1 month = \frac{18000}{15} = Rs.1200

Now,

(a) The amount of money, the worker will earn in 7 months

= 7 × 1200

= Rs.8400

(b) Number of months that the worker will earn Rs.3600

= \frac{3600}{1200} = 3 months.

Hence,

The worker will earn Rs.8400 in 7 months

and

The worker will earn Rs.3600 in 3 months

 <h5 > answer....

1) 15 months = 18000

1 month = 18000/5

7 month =
 \frac{18000}{15} \times 7 = rs.8400
2) 15 months = 18000

18000 = 15 months

1 = 15/18000

3600 =
 \frac{15 \times 3600}{18000} = 3 \: months
