Answer:

current =ne/t where n = number of electrons e=1.6 x 10^-19 coulomb t= time

so 2=n x 1.6 x 10^-19/1

so n=2000 x 10^17/16=125 x 10^17 electrons

Given:

  • Current flowing through automobile, I = 2A
  • Time, t = 1 hour = 3600 s

To find:

  • No. of e⁻flow through the head light in one hour?

SoluTion:

We know that,

Electric Current is given by,

I = q/t

Also,

q = ne

Therefore,

Let n be the number of e⁻.

So,

➯ I = ne/t

➯ n = It/e

where, e is the charge of electron.

➯ n = 2 × 3600/1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹

➯ n = 7200/1.6 × 10⁻¹⁹

➯ n = 4.5 × 10²²

So, The number of electrons in the headlight is n = 4.5 × 10²².
