Summary of the lesson Unity is strength:

• A village had a retired farmer living there. He had four sons, all of them were slackers.
• They fought among themselves rather frequently. The elderly man was really irritated by it.
• He phoned each of his four boys and explained that he wanted to teach them a lesson because his time was running out.
• He then said that because his time was running out, he wanted to give them some sound advice.
• He sent for a bundle of sticks, it was brought.
• He requested that each of his boys break the bundle of sticks one at a time.
• Despite their best efforts, none of them were able to break the bundle.
• The bundle was then untied by one of them after he asked. This was likewise carried out right away. Then he instructed them to split the sticks apart one by one. Each has now been successful in doing so.
• The elderly farmer then told them, "No one can hurt you if you live together in peace. But if you're split up, you'll fall short.
• United we stand, divided we fall.

Hence, the sons realized that unity is strength.
