Before, finding the answer. Let's find out how we can find the answer.

  • In this question, we are asked to find out how much ribbon is required to cover the triangular gift pack. And we are also asked to find how much ribbon is required for 5 such packs.
  • So, to find how much ribbon is required for 1 pack, we have to multiply the number of sides of the Triangle by the length of each side of the pack.
  • And to find how much length of ribbon is required to cover 5 packs, we have to multiply the length required for 1 box with 5.

Given :

  • Each Side = 12.7 cm

To find :

  • length of ribbon required to cover 5 such packs

Solution :

Now,

Perimeter of Triangular Gift Pack = side × number of sides

                                                       = 3 × 12.7

                                                       = 38.1

Next,

5 packs = 38.1 × 5

             = 190.5

Therefore, 190.5 cm of ribbon is required for 5 such packs.
