Let age of Ashima be ' x'.

Then age of Ashima's mother is ' 3x'.

According to the question,

3x - 10 = 5( x-10) (10 years ago)

3x - 10 = 5x - 50

50 - 10 = 5x - 3x

40 = 2x

x = 40 / 2

= 20

After 5 years from now,

Ashima's age = 20 + 5

= 25

Ashima's mother's age = (3 × 20) +5

= 60 + 5

= 65

Ashimas = x
Ashimas mother = 3x
10 years ago
5x - 10 = x - 10
5x + x = -10 + 10
6x = 0
X= 0/6

Mother age before 10 years = 6
Now = 10 + 6= 16
5 years from now = 16+ 5 = 21

Ashima age before 10 years = 0 means she wasn’t born by that time
Now = 0+10 = 10
5 years from now = 10 + 5 = 15
