Answer: The answer is a) Both Assertion & Reason are true and the reason is the correct explanation of the assertion

Explanation: For example I take my hand and press it against ur shoulder with my palm you might feel the pressure but it won't hurt as the pressure is distributed equally. But if I take my finger and press it against ur shoulder , it will hurt.

Therefore , To increase pressure, either force has to be increased or the area of contact has to be decreased.

The reason is correct as it is the definition of pressure.
