The functions of a promoter are stated as follows-

1. Recognition of business opportunity: The prime and concerned job of a promoter is to recognize a business opportunity. The opportunity might be in regard to producing the latest good or service or creating some goods that are available through a different medium of channel or any other business opportunity that is having high potential in investment.

2. Appointment of white-collar: Few white-collars such as auditors brokers, mercantile, etc., are scheduled by the promoters to help them in the creation of important documents that are necessarily needed to be with the Registrar of Enterprises.

3. Approval of Name: Having determined to inaugurate an enterprise or a company, the promoter's job is to select a name for that company or enterprise and yield an appeal to the registrar of the enterprises of the state in which the office where the company is registered is to be there and to be situated, for its acceptance.
