Burning of fuels is an undesirable change because;

  • it releases carbon dioxide(as a part of smoke) which is a harmful green house gas.

                ⇒release of CO2 is due to the partial combustion.

  • it also releases other toxic fumes such as oxides of nitrogen and sulphur, which later results in acid rain.

→In other aspects commonly used fuels require a good amount of heat     energy for combustion. Hydrogen is an combustible fuel which is still not a common fuel.
