Answer:

Mark me as BRAINLIEST

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

  • cost of coffee of 230 per kg and chicory of 75 per kg mixed and in the ratio 5:2
  • if the weight of mixture is 1 kg
  • (5x+2x)/7=1
  • 7x/7=1
  • x=1
  • therefore, weight of coffee is 5x/7=5/7 kg
  • weight of chicory is 2x/7=2/7 kg
  • cost of 5/7kg coffee is =5/7×230=1150/7
  • cost of 2/7kg chicory is =2/7×75=150/7
  • total cost of 1 kg mixture is=1150/7+150/7=1300/7=185.8(approximately)
  • selling of 1 kg= Rs.230
  • gain or loss=[(sp-cp)/cp]×100=

[(230-185.8)/185.8]×100=24%

since, the percentage is positive then the mixture is sold with gain of 24%.
