Given:

Construct a rhombus XYZW, such that XZ = 8 cm and YW = 6 cm.

Solution:

  1. Draw a line segment XZ=8 cm.
  2. Draw the perpendicular bisector   AB  to   XZ  . Let it cut XZ  at "O".
  3. With O as center and 3 cm (half of QS) as radius draw arcs on either side of   ′ O  ′ which cuts   AB at Y and W as shown in fig.
  4. Join   XY , YZ , ZW  and WX .
  5. XYZW is the required rhombus.
