cell is structural unit of body because cells combines to make tissue. cells are very small in size. these cells have many organelles such as mitochondria, lysosome, Golgi apparatus, nucleus, ER, etc. different organelles have different functions. organelles make a cell they cannot be described as functional unit of life.
