Answer:

75 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Piece of cloth has the area 9 m²

The given piece is to be cut into 16 equal squares

Question:

What is the length of each 16 squares?

Solution:

The length of  the side of cloth: is equal to √9= 3 m

We need to cut 3 m length into 4 equal pieces to get 4*4 small squares out of the original material

So, 3 m /4=0.75 m = 75 cm is the length of side of each scarf

Hope it helps

p.s. the other way to find the answer is 9/16 → square root → 3/4
