ANSWER-

The difference between the chemical and biological origin of life is reversibility. The chemical reactions that preceded and led up to the origin of life were all reversible. Life, once evolved, and focused on a mostly unified genetic code, became irreversible. Only the living life forms are available to evolve into a future life form. The dead life forms devolve back into the chemical world. A new chemical origin of life is unlikely outside the laboratory due to the predatory life forms that exist that would degrade any new attempt to create a novel chemical life form.
