Step-by-step explanation:

P(x)=(x+2)(x-2)

If X=1,

p(1)=(1+2)(1-2)

= 3-1

=2

If X= -2,

p(-2)=(-2+2)(-2-2)

= 0

p(x) = (x + 2)( x - 2) \\

p(x) =  {x }^{2}  -  {2}^{2}

p(x) =  {x}^{2}  - 4

p(1) \: substituting \: value  \:  of\: x \: as \: 1

p(1) =  {1}^{2}  - 4 \\

p(1) =  - 3

p( - 2) = { - 2}^{2}  - 4 \\p( - 2) = 4 - 4  \\p( - 2) = 0

So, P(1) = -3 and P(-2) = 0
