SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

The common ratio of a G.P. whose nth term is 3(2n-1)

EVALUATION

Here it is given that in the given GP nth term is 3(2n-1)

Putting n = 1 , 2 we get first term and second term

First term = 3 ( 2 - 1 ) = 3

Second Term = 3( 4 - 1 ) = 9

Hence common ratio

 \displaystyle \sf{ =  \frac{Second \:  Term }{First \:  term} }

 \displaystyle \sf{ =  \frac{9 }{3} }

 = 3
