  • Let the age of Ramu be R – 5 years
  • Let the age of Somu be S – 5 years

  • So R – 5 = 3 (S – 5)
  • So R – 5 = 3S – 15

  • After 10 years
  • Age of Ramu will be R + 10

  • So Ramu will be twice as old as Somu.
  •  So R + 10 = 2(S + 10)
