• The houses in Rajasthan are painted to reflect the sunlight or rather not to absorb the heat by the walls of the house ....so that there is no transfer of heat from outside to inside of the house and thus the temperatur inside the house is less than outside....
• In a room it is best to place a room heater on the floor but an AC near the ceiling because heater produces hot air which rises up making the air in the room warm whereas AC is usually used in summer to keep the air cool and is placed near the ceiling so that the cold air spreads in the room making it cool.
• During winters, we prefer wearing more layers of clothing than just one thick piece of clothing because air gets trapped in between the various clothing layers. Being a poor conductor of heat, air prevents heat loss from our body. Hence, layers of clothing keep us warmer than a single layer.
